About This Calculator

The 7 Wonders Duel Score Calculator is a free, instant end-game scoring tool for the 2-player head-to-head version of 7 Wonders. It eliminates arithmetic errors at the end of a tense game, handles the treasury formula automatically, and shows a live side-by-side breakdown so both players can see exactly where the points came from.

🎯 Who It's For
  • Couples and duos who play 7 Wonders Duel regularly and want fast, error-free scoring
  • Tournament organizers running Duel brackets and tracking match-by-match scores
  • New players learning how each category contributes to the final total
  • Anyone settling a post-game dispute about whether military or treasury swung the result
📖 How to Use It
  1. 1
Type player names into the name fields at the top of each score card
  2. 2
Click the slot on the Military Conflict Track that matches where the Conflict Pawn ended up
  3. 3
Drag the Treasury slider to each player's final coin count — VP calculates automatically (⌊coins ÷ 3⌋)
  4. 4
Set sliders for Wonders, Civilian, Scientific, Commercial, Guilds, and Progress Tokens
  5. 5
The winner banner and score breakdown update instantly as you go
Example Use Cases
Close Civilian Victory: scientific cards were nearly equal — use the breakdown to see which category tipped the result
Military pivot: move the pawn across different slots to see how many VP the final position was worth compared to a more neutral finish
Season tracking: run a best-of-3 series and re-enter each game's scores to review category trends
Teaching game: show a new player the treasury formula live — slide the coins while they watch the VP number change
⚠️ Limitations
  • Does not auto-detect Military Supremacy (pawn at ±9) — the game ends before scoring in that case
  • Does not auto-detect Scientific Supremacy (6 different symbols) — this also ends the game immediately
  • Progress Token VP must be totalled manually before entering (Philosophy = 7 VP; Mathematics = 3 × tokens owned)
  • In-game coin penalties from crossing military token spaces are not tracked here — only the final pawn position matters for VP
  • Scientific VP is entered as a direct total — add up the printed VP on your green cards (no quadratic formula, unlike base 7 Wonders)
🌙 Related Game-Night Scenarios
Post-game review: both players scored 42 VP — open this tool, re-enter everything, and find whose coin count breaks the tie
Rematch preparation: after losing on military, check how far the pawn needed to be from the center to swing the result
Speed scoring: one player calls out numbers, the other slides — the winner banner appears before you've packed up the cards
Strategy coaching: enter a hypothetical scenario (e.g., 3 more civilian VP vs. 1 more wonder stage) to see which path scores higher
