Roll the dice. Race the board. Outplay the machine.
Backgammon is one of the oldest board games in recorded history, with evidence of similar race-and-strategy games dating back 5,000 years to ancient Mesopotamia. Two players each race fifteen checkers around a 24-point board according to dice rolls, while hitting opponent blots, building blocking primes, and bearing off from the home board. The combination of luck and deep positional strategy makes backgammon endlessly compelling at every level of play. GameNight.pro provides a complete browser-based version with smooth dice animations, hitting, bar re-entry, bearing off, and a heuristic computer opponent — no download, no account, no installation required. A game can be completed in minutes, making it ideal for short bursts as well as focused sessions.
Click New Game to begin. Click the centre bar or the Roll button to roll the dice on your turn. Click a white checker to select it — valid destination points light up green. Click a highlighted point to move. You must use both dice values where legally possible. Landing on a lone opponent checker hits it to the bar; a checker on the bar must re-enter before any other moves. Once all fifteen of your checkers are in your home board (points 1–6), click a checker to begin bearing off. Bear all fifteen off to win the game.
